So many quintessential 90s trends have made a distinct comeback into our closets this fall, but one of them has me “totally buggin”. I have a rather disgusting obsession with all things velvet this year and it’s only getting worse as the temperatures finally dip. It is almost impossible to flip through a magazine without seeing some rendition of the fabric (like in Cara Delevingne’s jaw-dropping Balmain jumpsuit or J-Law’s slinky Jason Wu number). I especially love all the bold rich colors that can be incorporated.

The dress I’m wearing is a dusty lilac swing dress from ASOS. I layered it with a striped fitted crew neck from Old Navy and my favorite pair of OTK boots. I also added a leather jacket and black choker for more of an evening look before going out with some friends. Shop this entire look for under $100 below!
